John 4:46-54
Have you ever sent a text message to a friend who lives really far away-like in another state or even another country-and they got it almost instantly? It's crazy how fast technology can send our words across the world!
Do you know what's even more amazing? Jesus doesn't need Wi-Fi, cell towers, or satellites to make something happen far away. His words have power-real power. When a royal official asked Jesus to heal his son who was back home about 20 miles away, Jesus simply said, "Go, your son will live."
The man believed what Jesus said and started walking home. Jesus didn't go with the official because He didn't need to. On the way, his servants ran to meet him with amazing news-his son was alive and got better at the exact moment Jesus spoke those words!
Jesus' words have power. He healed the boy without even being in the same house, and He has the same power in our lives today. We can trust Jesus to do everything He says He will do. This includes His promise to save everyone who believes in Him.
We all are dead in our sins, but Jesus provided the way to save us by dying for our sin and rising again. Everyone who repents and trusts in Him is saved from death and will live forever with God.
