09.27.2026 | Jesus Healed a Child and a Man
Matthew 15:21-31; Mark 7:24-37
Lake Hillier in Australia is a body of water that’s unlike any other. Its water is bright pink—like bubblegum or cotton candy! Around it, there are soft white sandy shores and green trees, making the pink water look even more amazing. People come from all over just to see it, because it’s so unusual and beautiful. You can’t help but be curious and want to get closer.
The miracles of Jesus were like that lake. When people saw His power, they were drawn closer to Him. When a mother begged Jesus to heal her daughter, Jesus just spoke the words, and she was immediately well. And when a man who couldn’t hear or speak was brought to Jesus, Jesus healed the man just with a touch of His hands. Both miracles led people to be amazed at Jesus’ power and worship Him as God.
All of Jesus’ miracles drew people closer to Him. They showed that He is God and that He cares deeply about people’s needs. When we hear these stories, we can remember that Jesus is still powerful today and He wants to help us, too, especially when we trust Him and bring our worries to Him.
Jesus has power of sickness and healed many people to show He is God’s Son. Jesus also has power over sin and came to bring forgiveness, life, and hope to everyone who believes in Him.
Pray: Jesus, thank You for showing Your power and love through Your miracles. Help us trust You. Draw us closer to You every day. Thank You for always caring for us. Amen.
